Behind the Lens: Testing Our First Livestream Setup

At The Cultured Car, we believe in setting the bar high—especially when it comes to capturing automotive moments in real time. On May 16th, 2025, we took an important step toward launching a new chapter in our creative services: our first official livestream test, broadcast simultaneously on YouTube and Instagram.

This wasn’t a public event or client shoot—it was a behind-the-scenes proof of concept designed to push our gear, workflow, and creativity to the limit. We ran the stream using a two-camera setup, both mounted on tripods, to cover a 2019 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster receiving a full detail and Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation at Tri County Detail. The vehicle was being prepped for the Gold Rush Rally, making it a fitting subject for our first real-world technical test.

Why We Did It

While the visual results were exciting, the purpose of this livestream ran much deeper than just showing off a Lamborghini. This was a full-scale system test aimed at validating the infrastructure we’ll use to bring our live streams to future clients and audiences. Specifically, we set out to test:

  • Camera Performance: Assessing image quality, sync, and coordination across multiple angles
  • Live Switcher Workflow: Real-time camera switching for a dynamic viewing experience
  • Connection Stability: Evaluating internet performance and stream consistency
  • Platform Compatibility: Testing how our stream handled across YouTube and Instagram
  • Overall Quality Control: Ensuring the end result meets our visual and professional standards

This kind of groundwork is essential. Before offering any service publicly, we want complete confidence in our gear, crew, and final product.

The "Track Ready" Package

This test stream was modeled on our “Track Ready” livestream package—one of several new service tiers under development. While this stream wasn’t client-facing, it mirrored the structure and technical specs of Track Ready to help us fine-tune our setup for future events.

What's Next?

Now that our system has been successfully field-tested, we’re ramping up development of additional livestream options and preparing to open bookings. Our goal is simple: bring the same cinematic quality The Cultured Car is known for into the world of real-time broadcasting—without compromise.

If you’re planning a car event, unveiling a build, or just want to reach your audience in a more immediate and interactive way, we’re ready to roll.
